Heather Chew

Partner
One of the co-founders of Blueprint Public Relations, Heather specializes in senior-level media relations, crisis communications and issues management, serving clients across a wide range of sectors including health, public safety and government. Heather’s career has been defined by the skillful, focused handling of high-pressure, critically important communications exercises for national organizations with diverse stakeholders. Developing strategies based on sound research and situational awareness—and insistent that there is no such thing as “staying under the radar”—Heather helps clients challenge their assumptions and grasp the realities they face. Compassionate and controlled, she received a Gold Quill award from the International Association of Business Communicators in 1999 for coordinating RCMP media relations on-site following the crash of SwissAir Flight 111 off Peggy’s Cove. As a partner in the firm, she oversees the firm’s financial and human resource functions.

“We take a strategic approach to absolutely every issue, identifying needs and concerns before our clients have the chance to think about them. We don’t believe in a cookie-cutter approach: every project demands our best thinking.”
