Blueprint was hired to manage the development of a promotional website to increase the accessibility and timeliness of ePhysicianHealth.com, an online resource that provides support to physicians, residents and medical students. It promotes well being throughout their professional and personal lives. Developed by the University of Ottawa with support from the Canadian Medical Foundation, both the main site and the promotional site (http://about.ephysicianhealth.com) have a wealth of information that helps physicians be resilient in their personal and professional lives. The promotional site launched this month.

BPR provided communications and media relations support to the pan-Canadian Oncology Drug Review (pCODR) which began accepting submissions this month. Created to assess the clinical evidence and cost effectiveness of cancer drugs, pCODR will use this information to make recommendations to the provinces and

BPR developing communications plan to support labour force development in the nonprofit sector.

BPR is proud to continue its longstanding relationship with the HR Council for the Nonprofit Sector, which provides labour market information and resources to support the more than one million people working in close to 69,000 nonprofit organizations across the country. Currently, BPR is developing a communications plan to support the HR Council’s most recent initiative which is designed to help non-profit Boards recruit and retain executive directors; establish an occupational standard for the position of Administrator of Volunteer Resources; and develop a national skills development strategy for the sector’s paid staff.

The Canadian Primary Care Sentinel Surveillance Network (CPCSSN) is a ground-breaking initiative—the first of its kind in Canada —to help family physicians, who use electronic medical records, better understand and manage the chronic diseases affecting their patients, as well as health planners face the challenge of controlling chronic diseases in Canadian population. BPR managed the launch of CPCSSN at the College of Family Physicians of Canada’s Family Medicine Forum 2010 in Vancouver and is now developing an overall communications plan to help the network raise its profile, recruit family physicians and build partnerships.

BPR is pleased to be working again with BioTalent Canada, this time on an initiative to raise the organization’s profile and extend its reach beyond traditional audiences. Over the next few months, Blueprint will work with our associates at Arcturus Solutions, Ascribe Marketing and Communications, and Traffic Design to plan and implement an outreach campaign for the organization.

Having completed a mid-mandate comprehensive communications audit for the Partnership, BPR is working with them to reassess and revise their strategic communications plan. The plan will include target audience priorities, communications strategies and a range of activities to help the organization communicate about its work on accelerating action on cancer control.

Blueprint Public Relations is proud to announce that Aurélie Walsh, senior consultant, has been selected to sit on the Board of the Christmas Cheer Foundation. The Foundation hosts Ottawa’s largest networking breakfast event, the Christmas Cheer Breakfast, followed by a full-day broadcast with 100% of all proceeds going to the Ottawa Food Bank, the Christmas Exchange and the Ottawa Senators’ Foundation. Next year marks the 20^th anniversary of the breakfast and the 60^th anniversary of the broadcast, and we are excited that Aurélie will be helping the Foundation achieve these major milestones.

BPR conducting a communications audit for the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer

Half-way through its initial five year mandate, the Partnership wants to ensure that its communications methods and tools are meeting the needs and expectations of key stakeholders, and reflecting the organization accurately. BPR has been retained to conduct the audit which includes an employee survey and stakeholder interviews as well as a materials assessment. We will be providing recommendations based on the audit results.
