BPR sponsoring National Engineering Summit 2009, Leading a Canadian Future: The New Engineer in Society

BPR is excited to sponsor Canada’s first ever “multi-profession” consultation summit: the National Engineering Summit 2009, Leading a Canadian Future: The New Engineer in Society. The three day Summit will be held at Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth, Montreal, from May 19 – 21, 2009.

Summit participants will come from the health, environment, infrastructure and industrial sectors. Working with representatives from the engineering profession, they will examine and discuss the national and global issues facing each sector, and contribute to a closing statement. That statement will guide the engineering profession’s future work by identifying engineering services that will lead to a healthier, cleaner, safer, more competitive and sustainable Canada in a global society.

“Our firm has provided communications counsel to the engineering profession for almost 15 years,” said Robyn Osgood APR, partner. “The Summit is yet another example of engineering’s leadership and we’re proud to contribute.”

The National Engineering Summit 2009 is organized by the Canadian Engineering Leadership Forum, which brings together representatives from Engineers Canada, the Engineering Institute of Canada, the Canadian Academy of Engineering, the Association of Canadian Engineering Companies, the National Council of Deans of Engineering and Applied Science and the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students.
